Our new plumber! We had a leak under our toilet which caused wood rot in the boards (charming old house but wish we had tile!!) The job required multiple visits and a lot of coordination between them and the floor guy they recommended (Marcus did a stellar job too, it was tough matching the planks, so thanks!) The whole process was so seamless! Easily could’ve taken a month for resolution but only took them a week! Everyone did a spectacular job for an honest/reasonable quote (my brother does this work in the state of SC and his second opinion was that these guys were great!) The flange Steven recommended was a big upgrade too so I feel confident that we won’t be dealing with this problem again. Steven was super courteous and even went the extra mile on something unrelated that I asked for his expertise on. Really appreciated that — my dog loves him too!

They came same day I called to clear a completely stopped up sink drain!! Nothing worse than not being able to use your sink especially close to Thanksgiving when relatives are hours away from arriving! Super happy with the company and tech who came out, Oscar Montes! He also found a leaking faucet which I was unaware of and came out a few days later to repair. Ian was very kind and thoughtful and answered all of my questions so that I could understand the issues. He did not mind me watching as he made repairs so that I could be informed. He was excellent.

David Hicks has been my go-to plumbing service for years. They are reliable and honest and their dispatch service is well-organized. They have helped me out of several serious problems, including a hot water heater leak. Recently, they replaced my garbage disposal, which was leaking under the sink. I dont know how their prices compare, but I have found that the price they quote me is always worth the value I receive.

Steven came out and did a phenomenal job. He was timely, explained everything, was courteous, and even cleaned up after himself! He and David Hicks have my business from here on out. Shout out also to the dispatcher who was a pleasure to work with! Excellent customer service.

Excellent work, fair pricing. The issue was diagnosed right away, and thankfully, unlike large companies, they did not try to sell me something I dont need. I will definitely use them in the future.

The sink drain in my master bathroom plugged up with algae because the HVAC drain ties into it. I tried to snake it myself but its a double vanity and the two sink drains turn horizontally behind the wall and tie together at a sanitary cross. So all I could do was snake from one sink to the other which did not clear the plug. Steven Clare from David Hicks plumbing went in the attic, cut the vent pipe, and snaked down through the sanitary cross from the attic to clear the plug. Then he installed a rubber boot on the vent pipe that can be removed in case the drain needs to be snaked again. Steven also reminded me that I need to pour some bleach in my A/C condensate pipe at least once a month to prevent algae buildup. Steven was polite and knowledgeable and I was very satisfied with the work. I would use David Hicks plumbing again.

Great customer service and workmanship. Called on an afternoon about a problem and they worked with my schedule to meet me the next day mid-morning. Fixed the problem in an hour and pricing was good. Will use them again.

We were having an issue with the 40 year old valve on the water main into the house. I called my usual guy, and he didnt return two phone calls or respond to a text. A friend of mine then recommended David Hicks. They answered the phone, and promptly sent a guy out to diagnose the problem. Ian was knowledgeable and super friendly. He took his time, carefully and fully explained all the options, and came back the next day to install a new valve. He did excellent work, insulated the pipe, and cleaned up the work site.The guy that used to do my work will not get the next call. David Hicks Plumbing will get the work.

There were several tiny plumbing issues that I thought would take them a couple hours to repair but they got it all fixed much faster! Sure saved me missing extra work over my lunch hour and is much appreciated. They were both very knowledgeable and professional technicians. Super nice guys too. As far as Im concerned they are the A-Team to go to!! I highly recommend them!

Ian and Jacob were fantastic. Prompt, professional and did an amazing job replumbing a bathtub and 2 showers. We had an issue with the tub rocking a little after install, so I texted Ian. They came back out the next day and refit the tub, had us check it before they caulked it in. Very professional, great guys. We are very happy with the job they did.

First time customer. I called this morning and 4 hours later Oscar was at my house to replace a leaky shutoff valve for $135. Very nice guy. I’ll definitely call again if there’s something else I need done.

This is my second attempt to try to review David Hicks plumbing. Ian and his assistant were awesome! I highly recommend this company. I’ve had some bad experiences with plumbers and this is not an area that you can afford mistakes. This a very trustworthy group.

They performed a complex multi-prong job in my property, soon after I bought it.The job involved installation of four new toilets, performing complex maintenance on a full-body shower, installing a water filter in the kitchen, and replacing two faucets in the kitchen. They also fixed a small issue with one of the tankless water heaters, which they stumbled upon accidentally. This was gratis.The job was performed timely, in the two days as they promised. Highly professional crew. The final charge was as estimated up-front.Nice guys as well!

Friendly and immediate same day service from the initial phone call to the professional technician that arrived & the service that was provided. “Oscar” immediately identified the cause of our clogged bathroom sink that was continuously refilling with water and addressed it in no time flat! Weve been using David Hicks Plumbing for roughly the past five years. Theyve always done excellent work at a reasonable price. Theyre not the biggest company, so it can occasionally be hard to get them out on a moments notice -- but theyll do their best to get you on the days schedule in an emergency. Weve used them for leaking pipes in the attic (which was todays service), garbage disposal installations, new sink faucets, outdoor faucets, and more. Weve always been satisfied. Many of our previous service calls were handled by Niles (hes great). Today, we had Ian and Eric. They did a great job and were as friendly and knowledgeable as can be.

I rarely leave online reviews but was eager to write this one after being so satisfied with the work by Ian from David Hicks Plumbing. I called out another plumber earlier today because of a bad leak, and he quoted me $1,150 for a major overhaul of my kitchen sink plumbing. Plus, he charged me a diagnostics fee of $50-60. He didnt fix anything while here. I called David Hicks Plumbing afterwards for a second opinion. They sent someone right away. That person ended up being Ian. He was kind, courteous and professional. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it in about 15 minutes and only charged the diagnostics fee. Needless to say, I was blown away! I couldnt be happier with this company and look forward to using them again. In the meantime, Ill be recommending David Hicks Plumbing and Ian to all of my friends and colleagues.

Ian did a great job at our house. We had received a diagnosis from a different company that ended up being way too invasive and expensive. Ian showed us the problem ws actually quite minor and fixed it while he was there. I would definitely recommend these guys.

Ian and Steven responded to several concerns in my home. They repaired my garbage disposal in minutes. I was most impressed with their repair of an outdoor leak which involved the breakage of pvc pipe at a joint underneath the street sidewalk. Under most circumstances, this repair would have required destruction and reconstruction of the sidewalk over the leak. I asked Ian and Steven if they could possibly perform the repair without removal of sidewalk. Without hesitation, they took the time to dig 1.5 feet under the sidewalk to make the repair. I am extremely satisfied and appreciate their pleasant and helpful (and understanding) response to my request. I highly recommend Ian, Steven, and David Hicks Plumbing.

David Hicks Plumbing was engaged to do a whole house water repiping job using PEX, for a single story ranch-style house with piping run in the attic. The new piping was required by the City of Houston to be insulated for freeze protection. Three faucet repairs followed and were necessitated due to deposited rust particles from the old galvanized iron piping. Ian, and his helper Jacob, did a great job. They were magicians in snaking the PEX down the inside of interior and exterior walls with a minimum of sheet rock work and no removal of wall or floor cabinets! Ians follow-ups were much appreciated.
